Calling all parents! This is our 3rd year with the Art Docent Program and we are looking for volunteers who are willing to be a classroom Art Docent for your teacher this school year. These past 2 years have been a major success!
No art experience or teaching experience needed, and there's only 4 projects to complete! We are simply looking for adults to help the children create a new piece of artwork based on a particular artist with a scripted lesson/project that will already be planned for you. It will only take about an hour or two of your time once every other month, days/times for the lessons will be coordinated between the teacher and parent to make sure it works in your schedule.
If you are interested, let your child's teacher know asap, or email our Family Liaison, Adriana Carpio at acarpio@eusd.org, our first project starts on Oct. 1st. We hope you will join us and help the children create their own masterpieces!
