Hello Incoming 6th Grade BVMS Families - Bear Valley Middle School has established a very successful dance program over the past few years, offering students beginning, intermediate, and advance dance sections offered as year long electives and also a nationally ranked competitive dance team under the direction of coach Regina Snew. On March 24th, Bear Valley will be holding Dance auditions for our incoming 6th graders. You must attend auditions to be considered for the Dance Team. Kids Heart Challenge Last Chance! Help Us Get to 300 Sign Ups!
Dear Families, Kids Heart Challenge ends soon. Help us hit our goal! 218 students have signed up, 25 families have completed Finn’s Mission and together, we have raised $8197 to help people with special hearts. Wow, thank you for your efforts in helping to change and save lives! How to get involved:
1. Download the AHA Schools app
2. Raise Funds to help kids with special hearts. Send 5 texts or emails.
3. Complete Finn’s Mission in your headquarters to learn Hands-Only CPR and how to recognize the warning signs of a stroke. Once you do, you'll be entered to win a pair of tickets to Super Bowl LXI in 2027!

Friday, January 30th - Dreaming of Kindness, wear pajamas (no slippers).

Babies in many areas of San Diego lack appropriate items of clothing to help them stay warm and thrive during their first year.
Gently Hugged collects very gently used or new infant clothing in Newborn to 12 month sizes along with baby blankets, burp cloths, bibs, socks, shoes, hats, jackets, and small board books. We are unable to accept equipment or large items.
Enough essential items for a baby’s first year are packed into a bag and then distributed by nurses and social workers to low-income, military, and disadvantaged families. Distribution sites include Hospitals, Public Health Regional Centers, Clinics & Social Service Agencies.

Want to make a difference in just 45 minutes? Join the Playground Pals! We're looking for parents and community members to join us for recess on the big playground with 1st-5th grade.
• When: Every Friday morning from 9:45 - 10:30 AM.
• What: To lead basketball, spin the jump rope, start a kickball game, or just help kids feel seen and included.
• Commitment: Flexible! Come every week or just once, you decide.
• Experience: None needed! You don't need to be an athlete to have an impact!

With targeted workshops, financial assistance, housing stability planning, and workforce development, this initiative aims to equip families with the tools and resources they need to maintain housing and achieve long-term stability.
